I need to get a life.
While this revelation is nothing new, I actually have proof that my social life is lacking severely.
About a month ago, I finally got around to joining foursquare. As usual, I’m about 10 months late to a social media trend but in my defense, I waited until there were some decent apps for my Windows phone (just not an iPhone gal . . . I even own a Zune instead of an iPod).
I was explaining foursquare to a friend who is even more removed from social media trends than I. As I demonstrated the various aspect (badges, check-ins, etc.) I noticed my profile. Currently, I am mayor of the following:
- Walgreens
- SuperAmerica
- Petco
- My house
Anyone looking at my foursquare profile probably assumes that I am a 70-year-old woman living with 40 cats.
I also noticed that I really only go to four places on a regular basis:
- Work
- School
- Home
- Above mentioned SuperAmerica (I’m there almost daily to get my Red Bull fix)
So I have just added to my growing New Year’s resolution list to get out of the house more and explore different places.
Yes, the irony that I have started a New Year’s resolution list for 2011 before outlining for finals next month has not escaped me.
Time to start moving outside my comfort zone(s).
At least you’re not a mayor of a drive-thru. I hate when that happens.
